Mental Health Services
The providers at First Class Primary Care and Wellness Center understand the complex interplay between physical and mental problems – and how military service can be especially stressful on both fronts. That’s why, in addition to our primary care, urgent care, and aesthetic services, we offer mental health assessments and treatments focused on the particular needs of veterans.
We diagnose and treat mental health issues related to:
- Domestic abuse
- Military sexual trauma
- Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
- Readjustment issues
- Substance abuse
- Suicide prevention
- Traumatic brain injuries (TBI)
You can count on the discreet, respectful, and compassionate mental health services at First Class Wellness Center for all your needs.
Veterans Medication Review
Medication reviews are important for veterans prescribed drugs for acute and chronic medical conditions, mental health conditions, or both.
A medication review is a comprehensive look at all the medications a patient is taking, including over-the-counter products, to make sure each medicine is effective and necessary. Some medications may be woefully out-of-date and no longer perform as intended. Others may be redundant, providing protection already contained within another medication a patient is taking.
During a medication review, First Class Primary Care and Wellness Center providers pay special attention to potential interactions between drugs, or between drugs and certain foods, in order to help our patients avoid any unintended yet harmful or negative effects from the medicines they are taking. The importance of medication compliance will be stressed, and our providers will take the time to answer any and all questions our patients have about their medications.
Finally, because a patient’s medication needs can change over time, periodic medication reviews are an important component of ongoing healthcare for our patients.
