No matter how good the health care services provided to veterans through the VA are, the reality is that securing a timely appointment with your caregiver of choice can be difficult and sometimes frustrating. At eMDnow we understand the unique health care needs of veterans because we have served as well. Here are ten of the most commonly asked questions asked of eMDnow staff. We hope the answers will convince you that our is the right one for you and your family’s health care needs.
- Why was eMDnow established?
The providers at eMDnow are either veterans themselves or have previously worked with at the VA. This affords us a unique perspective and insight into the distinct health care needs of those who have served our nation. As such our mission at eMDnow is to ensure access to affordable primary health care is as timely and efficient as possible.
- How exactly does eMDnow make health care more timely and efficient?
Our approach at eMDnow’s to medical care is twofold: use of telemedicine and access to same-day appointments. Simply put, telemedicine is technology-based medical care that can be delivered promptly and securely via a downloadable app on your smartphone, computer, or tablet. Telemedicine is revolutionizing the way care can be provided, allowing for virtual consultations, faster evaluation and diagnosis, and access to prescribed medication without the headache and risk that long wait times provide.
- How does the App work?
There are no tricks or gimmicks. Just download the eMDnow mobile app to your iPhone or Android device. Once you do, go ahead and schedule an online visit with one of our board-certified providers, who will give you a thorough evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment options.
- How are eMDnow providers different than “traditional” providers?
Answer: We’re not! Just like our peers, our providers are board-certified, fellowship trained medical experts – who also happen to be tech-savvy. We know firsthand about the often unique needs of vets and their families and always put patients and their care first.
- Aren’t all telemedicine practices the same? What makes eMDnow unique?
